WAA Senior Indoor Championships
	23rd January 2011

		Langdon Davies of Pentref Bowmen has agreed to be the Tournament Organiser for the Welsh Senior Indoor Championships. However the WAA Committee is seeking archers to provide the working party. Daffodil Awards
	Summer 2010

		The Daffodil award scheme, our equivalent of the GNAS Rose Awards, has been extended to Barebow. Longbow qualifying scores have also been revised. Click on "More" for the Claim Form, which gives gives details of all the requirements, including the scores needed.

Commonwealth Games Dehli 2010
	29th July 2010

		The Commonwealth Council for Wales - Team Wales have today issued a press release on the athletes selected for archery and shooting in the forthcoming Commonwealth Games to be held in Dehli in October 2010. CONGRATULATIONS to the following compound archers who have been selected to be members of Team Wales: Tracey Anderson, Jan Howells, Jean Howells, Tapani Kalmaru, Andrew Rose and Geraint Thomas. The Archery Team Manager is MaryAnn Richardson who will be responsible for the archers wellbeing before and during the Games. The WAA Committee and members of the Welsh Archery Association wish them every success at the Games. The full press release is attached.

British Senior Target Outdoor Championships
	25th July 2010

		Congratulations to the following who have made the Welsh Team for the Home Nation event which takes place on Saturday 14th August at the British Senior Outdoor Championships: Ladies Recurve: Rebecca Dawson and Gemma Underwood Ladies Compound: Jan and Jean Howells Gents Recurve: Tony Nilsen and Peter Bland Gents Compound: Andrew Rose and David Home On behalf of its members the Association sends its good wishes for a successful shoot.

World Field Archery Championships 2010
	8th July 2010

		The World Field Championships will be held this coming week in Hungary. Among the GB Team Members are: Alex Bridgeman - defending his Junior Gents Compound title Tracey Anderson (Compound) Victoria Kalmaru (Barebow) Tapani Kalmaru (Compound) The WAA Committee and members wish the Welsh Archers and the rest of the GB team every success. CONGRATULATIONS to Alex Bridgeman who came home with the Bronze Medal in the under 18 Gents Compound class.
